Arabian Shows

One of the main goals in establishing the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club is to showcase the highborn and elevated progeny of Arabian horses and to encourage the breeding of this noble horse to increase its pedigree. According to the directives of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the club represented the United Arab Emirates at the 1986 World Arabian Horses Organization conference held in Morocco. The UAE was then accepted as a member of that conference.

Sharjah Stud was designed to reflect Arab architecture and is equipped with up-to-date facilities and staffed with a professional team chosen to train and care for the Stud`s horses.

Sharjah Stud contains:

  • 74 boxes built only for Arabian horses
  • 4 sand paddocks
  • 2 grass paddocks
  • 1 main grass arena

The club organizes an annual festival for Arabian horses. The first Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival took place in 2000/ 2001 at the club arena and is considered a leader in the field. In addition, there are currently 3 more festivals being held; one for Straight Egyptian bred and one for locally bred Arabians and Sharjah Kalba Show.
