The Sharjah Ruler’s Cup race, organized by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, kicked off yesterday under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority. The event featured the participation of 86 horses, including purebred Arabians, locally bred horses, and thoroughbreds, with 8 horses on reserve.

Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival Concludes with Distinguished Participation and Championship Titles

The curtain has fallen on the 26th edition of the Sharjah Arabian Horse Festival, organized by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club in collaboration with the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO) and the Emirates Arabian Horse Society. The event witnessed the participation of 251 horses representing 12 countries, competing over the course of three days in the club's outdoor arena.

**AED 2 Million for Qualifiers and AED 1 Million for UAE Championship Prizes**

Ali Azizia claimed the lead in the 140 cm jump-off, while Saif Obaid Al-Kaabi secured a double victory with "Dinky Toy."

The UAE Equestrian Federation announced prestigious prizes worth AED 3 million for Emirati show jumpers competing for the UAE Show Jumping Championship title, set to take place in the season finale in April. The championship will feature four qualifying rounds throughout the season, with two rounds held before and two after the start of the international championships. The total prize pool for these qualifiers is AED 2 million, with AED 500,000 allocated per competition. This marks the first time qualifiers are being held for the UAE Show Jumping Championship, which itself offers prizes totaling AED 1 million.

Saeed Mohammed Al Mazmi topped the first-level competition and was awarded the Sharjah Equestrian Distinction Prize. He won first place in the season's opening competition, which featured a single round with a jump-off over fences measuring 140 cm. This event was part of the second week of the Longines UAE Jumping League, supervised by the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, and sponsored by Longines, in cooperation with the Sharjah Equestrian Club. The third week of the league is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday (October 19-20).

 Sharjah (October 12-13)

The Sharjah Equestrian Club will host the second competitions of the Emirates Longines Show Jumping League over the weekend, featuring riders from various clubs. The event includes 10 rounds with a total prize money of 170,000 AED.

Competitions will start on Saturday with five rounds, including an ideal time round for 4-year-old horses and novices, with jump heights ranging from 80 to 135 cm.

On Sunday, competitions will continue with an ideal time round for young horses, along with additional rounds for different levels, culminating in a round with jumps up to 140 cm. Exciting competition is expected as the new season kicks off.
